3M 3762 Full-resin solid hot melt adhesive

Quick Overview

3M™ 3762 Hot Melt Adhesive is an economical and fast-curing, all-resin solid hot melt adhesive. It is suitable for general applications as well as manual sealing, carton sealing, and general packaging. When heated to its specific melting point, the adhesive forms an aggressive hot tack that achieves operational strength within seconds, contributing to high-speed productivity.

Aggressive hot tack for fast operational strength
The all-solid, thermoplastic resin formulation of 3M™ 3762 Hot Melt Adhesive enables fast bonding and sealing to meet the requirements of high-volume production setups, such as packaging, woodworking, and assembly. These features enhance carton sealing speed and enable bonding to wood, paperboard, corrugated board, and other fiber-based substrates. It offers high shear strength and low peel strength, meaning your packages stay sealed and components stay bonded under most conditions. Along a 1/8-inch bead, the 25-second open bonding time is sufficient for positioning and adjusting to accommodate and support high-speed productivity in packaging, woodworking, and fiber-based applications. Its low viscosity prevents stringing even at fast production speeds. Recommended application temperature range: 350-385°F (177-196°C).

Function:

1.Aggressive hot tack achieves operational strength quickly for packaging and other applications.
2.Moderate open bonding time allows for positioning and adjustment.
3.Bonds securely to difficult-to-seal surfaces with light waxing.
4.Virtually invisible after bonding, replacing unattractive mechanical fasteners and tape products.
5.Recommended application temperature range: 350-385°F (177-196°C).
